Sky One’s glossy US drama, Las Vegas, will welcome that titan of 1980s TV, Tom Selleck, to its cast in the next series. The star, much admired for his outstanding forests of body hair, will play a charistmatic, self-made billionaire according the US show’s home NBC. His character will become the owner of the new Montecito Resort and Casino. James Caan will also be back for an episode, after his departure at the end of the current series.

Good to see Tom back on our screens – idolised him Magnum (not sure why) but hated him in Friends (hated Friends full stop).
