I like Kelis a lot. She sings about milkshakes. I like milkshakes. Not only is the feisty R&B superstar into milkshakes (although, by all accounts, she was talking about an entirely different kind of milkshake in her song to the one I’m talking about… I genuinely like milkshakes), she’s married to hippity-hoppity man Nas, and their showbiz couplery is a thing celebrated across the Atalantic.

Now the couple have announced that they are to submit themselves to the full MTV, fly-on-the-wall ‘reality’ treatment. Is that a good thing? Do the happy couple really need to do this to further their careers? Probably not, but I bet they’re getting a fair whack to appear in the series…

It can’t be much worse than the car-crash TV of the Jessica ‘What is tuna?’ Simpson and Nick Lachey effort, and the couple have already said that the show will concentrate more on the musical side of their careers and not so much on the marriage side of things.

After her Bjork-style strop last week, and subsequent arrest, this show could turn out to be a good thing for Kelis. Maybe. Just don’t ask her to differentiate between food stuffs.
