Celebrity Big Brother is eating itself. People have left due to the fact that they are being forced to live with the bovine Jade Goody and everyone, including the public, are getting hugely upset by the three stooges; Danielle, Jade and Jo. It’s mental warfare and loads of dodgy behaviour that certainly alludes to racism (something I mentioned ages ago).

Initially, when I said that Shilpa’s treatment by Jackiey was racist, I thought I’d be inundated with mail calling me a liberal jessie and that Ms Shetty was a manipulative swine. Well, the onslaught never came with everyone seemingly having the same outlook as I.

Ofcom, the people who deal with TV complaints, received more than 3,500 complaints of alleged racism in the show regarding the woeful treatment against the Bollywood actress. On top of that,

Channel 4 has received 1,000 more, making it the most complained about series. Amongst the snide mind games, Jade, Danielle and Jo O’Meara have been seen making continuous fun of the Shilpa’s accent turning BB into a reminder of how rubbish this country (and it’s attitudes) can be.

Throughout the show, the three morons have made comments which are below the belt. Jo suggested that Indian people were thin because they are always ill as a result of undercooking their food.

The trio also complained that Shilpa had touched other housemates’ food with her hands. "You don’t know where those hands have been do ya?" spat Danielle. It is no surprise at all that the anti bullying charity that Jade was patron, has dumped her amidst her dreadful actions.

Initially, Channel 4 described the incidents as "girly rivalry", but after realising how uncomfortable the show is to watch, on Wednesday the programmer said it was taking the matter more seriously.

"Big Brother does not tolerate bullying or racist abuse in any form. Big Brother is closely monitoring all the housemates and will take appropriate measures to reprimand such behaviour where necessary," a spokesman said. That, of course, means absolutely nothing as it is quite obvious that the programme makers have no idea how to deal with this kind of situation. They can’t throw out the offending housemates as they’ll have no-one left. They probably won’t confront the girls as they don’t want to get stung with a libel case… so what next?

This appalling behaviour will probably carry on. Yesterday Shilpa buckled under the pressure which saw her telling Jade to shut up which was met with huge retaliation from the big mouthed fool. Tensions will increase and hopefully, the public will get rid of these small minded swine and boo and recreate the atmosphere of a public lynching. Perhaps Channel 4 should invest in some stocks so we can all throw rotten veg at them on their exit. Joking aside, it seems that the show has caused such fury that Hertfordshire Police are investigating threats that have been made against Celebrity Big Brother housemates.

The constabulary said that the two emailed threats "contain unspecified threats against a number of the housemates" These threats have blatantly been lodged as a complaint about alleged racism in the house. Add to this, the news that the Carphone Warehouse is reviewing its sponsorship of the show in light of these allegations.

The show has stopped being run-of-the-mill entertainment and become, in the words of Meera Syal (star of Goodness Gracious Me) , a "vile spectacle". With the amount of complaints, the stance taken by Channel 4 is a bland and woolly statement. I imagine action would have been taken if, for example, Pete was referred to as a ‘spaz’ in the last series. Big Brother is in a sorry state and is eating itself from the inside.
