Russell Brand. Love him or hate him, you just can’t escape him, and if you’re one of the big-haired comedian’s detractors well, sorry, but it’s bad news, I’m afraid: The Russell Brand Show makes its debut this month, joining Ugly Betty as part of Channel Four’s new Friday night line-up.

The show will combine comedy sketches, topical "chats" (for which read "monologues", I would imagine, acoustic music sets (not featuring Brand himself, thankfully. Well, not as far as I know…) and celebrity interviews. Confirmed guests so far: Courtney Love and Morrisey. Now that one’ll be worthy the watching, surely?
