Fear, Stress, Anger, and Laughs?

Fear_stress_angerIf you’re missing the fabulous Green Wing (and be honest, who isn’t?) take a small crumb of comfort from knowing that you’ll soon be able to see one of its escapees – Pippa Haywood, who also starred in The Brittas Empire – in a new comedy coming soon to BBC two: Fear, Stress and Anger.

Also starring Peter Davidson, Daisy Aitkens, Georgia Moffett and Eileen Essell, the show centres around two "baby boomers" (Davidson and Haywood) who find they are stuck in the middle between their 20-something children, still living at home, and their ancient parents who stubbornly refuse to leave by an alternative exit.

So they remain stuck in the middle, nervously watching as their time on top of the world comes to an end and is replaced by a series of aches, pains, hormone problems and (worst of all!) fading libido.

The comic potential of their attempts to stop the rot with drugs, therapy and new jobs is explored to the full by a team with a strong track record for good comedy, including writer Michael Aitkens (Waiting for God) and director Martin Dennis (Life Begins and Coupling).
