Chris Langham, who plays Hugh Abbot in The Thick Of It’,  has been dropped from the show due to his ongoing court case.

The
comedian is currently involved in a child pornography trial  since
being arrested last November. He is waiting for the close of the case, and naturally, the outcome which has moved BBC producers to omit him from the Christmas special of the show.

The producers have resisted the
urge to re-cast for the role of Hugh Abbott, instead choosing to
redirect the focus of the story to the ‘opposition’.[Mof Gimmers]
