Set The Video: Doctor Who: Fear Her

“If living things can become drawings, then maybe drawings can become living things…”  So postulates the Doctor, in what could be the scariest piece of dialogue ever written for Doctor Who, or the most implausible, depending on your point of view.

Originally to be written by Stephen Fry (whose episode has been moved to series three), this episode takes place during the 2012 London Olympics.  The Doctor’s plans to take Rose to the games are sidetracked when ordinary children start vanishing.  Could there be a connection with a seemingly ordinary British household where a mother tries to hide her daughter’s unnatural powers from the world?

* Doctor Who: Fear Her, BBC1, 7pm Saturday 24 June
