In the wake of reports that Digital Terrestrial Television (“Freeview” to you and me) is on course to overtake satellite as the majority provider of digital TV services by the end of this year, ITV have today announced that they will be launching a one-hour timeshifted version of ITV2 later this year.
While viewing figures on the traditional terrestrial network continue to decline, digital revenues are increasing and ITV have made no secret of the fact they intend to focus on building a multi-channel presence. Could get confusing. I mean, what’s the difference between ITV2+1 and ITV3?
