If you were under the impression that LivingTV is only good for episodes of [insert country name]‘s next Top Model or re-runs of Charmed and Will & Grace, there’s a good chance you may have missed out on one of the funniest, best written shows on TV right now. Boston Legal is everything you want from a drama – clever, sexy, dramatic and – best of all – funny as hell. The main humour lies with William Shatner’s excellent portrayel of a super-right wing attorney, Denny Crane, and James Spader’s altogether more left wing, pinko liberal Alan Shore. Both actors put in their best performances (no really, Shatner is excellent) and watching the their friendship – which somehow works in spite of their differences – is a beauteous thing to behold.
Those of you who haven’t watched it yet, should treat yourselves – if you like House, Grey’s Anatomy or CSI, you’ll love Boston Legal. Here’s a clip of James Spader/Alan Shore doing what he does best – winding up Mr All American hero, Brad.
* Boston Legal, Living TV, Thursdays at 10pm
