So, what happens when you get two of the campest people on the planet and stick them in the same studio. Why, you upset viewers of course. That's what happened yesterday when Sir Elton John met Paul O'Grady on his talk show on Channel 4.
Digital Spy reports that Elton angered viewers of Channel Four's The New Paul O'Grady Show by swearing live on TV. The former Watford FC chairman appeared on the show to celebrate the first anniversary of the Billy Elliot musical, for which he wrote the music.
"Elton shocked some viewers by candidly answering a question about his middle name, posed by one of the musical's young stars, and then swearing." Around 20 viewers complained immediately and the host apologised at the end of the programme.
What did he actually say? Well, in answer to why he changed his name from Reginald Dwight, Elt said "It’s not much of a showbiz name is it? Sounds more like a banker – some would say wanker."Well, the disgust that is in me now... you could bottle it. [Mof Gimmers -Disgruntled from Manchester]
