Charlie Brooks, having faithfully churned out the exercise DVD that all female soap stars are required by law to produce when their contract ends, now claims her heart has turned homewards, and she’s seriously considering a return to the Square.

"I’m unemployed at the moment and panicking!" says Brooks. Yeah, sure.
