Big Red Book Back?

Those TV people are fickle folks. A mere two years after throwing a hissy fit and dropping This Is Your Life from its schedule for being "outdated", BBC 1 have had a sudden change of heart and have decided to bring the Big Red Book back.

The revamped show won’t be without its changes, mind. The book stays but Michael Aspel, who has been presenting the show for 50 years, people (and seriously, he looks better now than he did then…) is to go.

Tipped to take his place are Jonathon Ross (because we hardly ever see him on TV nowadays, do we?), Des Lynham or Paul Merton. I know who my vote’s going to. I’m not telling though.

Not everyone will be pleased at the return of This is Your Life, though. (Especially not Michael Aspel, I suspect). Noel Gallagher, for example, once told Aspel to "stuff your red book." Nice.
