So, who's been spreading all those rumours about Peep Show not being recommissioned? Apart from us, I mean?
Probably Channel 4, trying to drum up punter-angst ahead of their decision to, yes, recommission the show.
"C4 sources" had said that the honchos wanted Robert Webb and my secret lover David Mitchell to make a sketch show. But, merciful relief (I'm sketch-intolerant, except The Fast Show), M n' W will be back donning their forehead-cams for at least one more series.
And! Oh, it never rains but. Let's also rejoice at the news of a second series for The IT Crowd. Ratings have been unremarkable, but word of mouth has been very positive -- and the show, like its big daddy Father Ted, may yet grow from humble beginnings into a sitcom colossus.
Now, excuse me while I go and do a little dance around the kitchen.
